As soon as Sarah ran straight to Sophia and made demands of speaking to her, it was like a flashback of when Sarah caught Kristen pretending to be Susan to spy on Chloe. Sarah was making demands and threats against Kristen "doing the right thing" that night too, which was the night before her wedding. And Kristen kidnapped her.
ReplyDeleteSarah is just so predictable, but you'd think she'd learn, but nope, she's doing the exact same thing. Does Sarah really not see how dangerous Sophia is? Sarah acknowledges that she's spiraling and desparate to keep her secret, yet Sarah thinks this is a good idea to meet her in an isolated spot and make demands she come clean. I'm sorry, but Sophia is about to crack. I'm just waiting for her to knock Sarah's lights out. Abigal was like this too. Chasing down the desparate villians and demanding that they come clean. And Sarah and Xander are just getting back together, and this is how Days times things everytime. Maybe nothing will happen to Sarah, but I think she's playing with fire. Btw, Johnny and Chanelle did take a little too long to figure it out, but at least they did... Holly is still thinking she actually sent the pics. And then Sarah sounded just as stupid as Kayla yesterday, but that Sophia, she is on cue, she figured it out almost instantly... but I think she already knew. Regardless, people better be paying attention cause Sophia is extremely dangerous right now... I guess we'll see how she'll deal with Sarah, but Sarah is just nuts to not comprehend the danger she's in.

ReplyDeleteOh yeah, just wanted to say that I really like the new Theo, and he is doing an awesome job, as it is very tough to act the role of Autism. I really hope Days highlights the struggles of Autism. Also, he made such a good point about JJ. The whole storyline of how JJ went into deep depression, wrote all those suicide letters and attempted suicide, but then Gabi (even though she had moved on with Eli) had worried about JJ (women's intuition), and she saved his life that night and stayed with him all night. This is what led Lani and Eli to make love the first time cause they both though their partners were cheating, but they weren't. JJ further lost it when Kristen killed Hailey by pushing her down the stairs, and found Kristen at the convent as a nun with Lani. JJ had planned to murder Kristen that night, but thankfully Lani was his angel that night and again he was saved.
ReplyDeleteLook, I was actually surprised when JJ just decided to work as a police officer again, cause of this life defining moment that changed many lives forever, but especially his and Theo's. I loved how Lani supported him, how Theo forgave him, how Abe struggled with forgiveness... but I especially loved how JJ joined Theo out of the country so Theo can get the appropriate treatment he needed. And I agree with Theo that JJ should have spoken to Theo about rejoining the police force before doing it. However I think adding the "racial profiling dynamic" takes away from the real problem.
I really don't like how JJ acts while on duty.... Gabi tried to help him see this, but he won't listen and storms off... reminds me of the scripture, "you forgot your 1st love". He seems to be on a power trip instead of "serving the public"... but especially when speaking to those closest to him, like Gabi and Gwen. It wasn't cause he "followed the evidence" but how he drawed conclusions and wouldn't even listen to her side of the story, which she was willing to devulge. I have been surprise that JJ turned this way considering his history with Theo, but I think this is the reason Theo is probably the only one in the world that can get through to him. An officer has to be able to communicate with others (as Rafe, Jada, Hope, Bo, Roman, Abe, all very good cops). I think this storyline is a very good one, though I don't want to lose what is actually wrong by focusing on "race" cause race isn't the issue. JJ is power tripping toward everyone equally in other words. People should feel safer and protected with police, like they are there to help and serve... not that they are there to make demands and accuse of suspicions. I think Jada has handled the situation appropriately though, but I think before anything JJ needs to speak with Theo about how he feels about it, and because of the circumstances, I think JJ should respect Theo's wishes. The fact that Theo almost died and his whole life was uprooted and he's still suffering, and yet has been forgiving.... but JJ and Theo just need to clear the air, and talk about it, but in the end, JJ should respect Theo's wishes concerning this. I agree with how Jada handled it (though I don't like the way Rafe was treated after he nearly died from being stabbed while onduty. I do think Jada is a good officer too, but it was such a slap in the face to Rafe that he was demoted after waking up from his coma).
One more thing, I think Days is trying to put sparks between Theo and the younger girls (Ari, for one).... But I guess that's why they waited till after they graduated so they are definitely legal age, and it's not like Days hasn't done this before, but Theo is about 10 years older than Ari.

DeleteGeorgie, Theo is the same age as Ciara and Clair and whoever else was in their group back then. half of them lived together at one point. Theo almost married Ciara. he had recently been dating Clair for a while. Ari and Holly just graduated highschool. I'm not sure of the age difference and don't feel like figuring it out right now, but Theo is over 21 (again same age as Ciara), and Ari is NOT 21. she just graduated highschool and had her 18th birthday. Remember that? So, where are YOU coming from??? Get the facts right, Georgie. you're not only rude as usual, but also wrong.

DeleteAri was born on-screen on May 20, 2013.... Theo was born on-screen on May 29, 2003, but due to "rapid-aging", they changed his birthday to May 29, 1999.
Nobody has aged as rapid as EJ, who was born on-screen on February 21, 1997, but suddenly become a man in 2006, and he and Sami had Johnny on-screen on October 23, 2007.
P.S. Sami already had her first son Will before EJ was born. Will was born in 1995, and approx 2 years old when EJ was born. They were showing both babies during this time as well.
Tammy, yep, correct. I was just coming back to say that Theo returned to the show in Nov. 2015 as a 16-year-old, and he graduated in 2017. he is definitely 26 now. and Ari is still 18. No clue how somebody would think Ari is 21 when she just graduated high school. we're not talking about something that happened a decade ago.

pikapie, yep, that's right. It's not near as bad as others they've done in the past.... Nicole and Victor being the ultimate example. Do you remember that scene when she willed her father to die and then stepped over his body in those 9 inch heels. And Holly came out of her? I would think she'd be more like her mom.

DeleteI hope Ari doesn't get involved with Theo, I feel something happened to him while he was away because he is not acting like himself 😔😭. The last time he was home he was kind and didn't show any signs of being unhappy 😔.I knew something was wrong when he went to see Tony before seeing his Father. I also feel that this may not be Tony. Tony have not been a man that would make a deal with Gabbi behind his brother, EJ back to make her CEO of his Family Company , which I believe he is going to reneigh on his deal with her. Also he would not be trying to take someone Company.
ReplyDelete@Anniemae since you seem to know everything about past episodes, why did you not catch that Theo is having problems because Clair broke up with him after cheating on him all the while and finally confessed her betrayal. You sure you’re not also writing under the name Tammy2trueblue because you both rattle on and on with paragraphs about real old episodes, only she spells better.
DeleteActually you are are the one that missed the fact that Theo is having trouble dealing with JJ returning to his police job. He feels betrayed, and I don't blame him. The whole storyline between Theo and JJ was cause they became best friends. When JJ shot Theo, Johnny had a very hard time forgiving himself. Also Abe struggled with forgiving JJ. Lani was JJ's girlfriend, but JJ couldn't even face her and tried to kill himself. But Theo was all about forgiveness and healing. Theo almost died, but didn't. But because there was concern he may never walk again, he had to go far away (to another country) to get the best treatment for the best hope. And now look at him. Theo and JJ have been through a lot together since then, and Theo has been an incredible friend and JJ too, but JJ had left his police job, which showed how much Theo meant to him and how sorry he was. The fact that JJ just joined the police force again feels like he's forgot all about what happened and that he no longer cares how Theo feels. And in Theo's case, we have to multiply this times 100 cause of his autism. It's harder to see outside of objective reality, especially with changes in social norms or opinions. See originally, it was easy for Theo to forgive JJ cause of how much JJ cared... he cared enough that he quit his job, almost killed him, moved halfway around the world to help Theo, etc. But now suddenly after returning to Salem, JJ returns to his police job without talking to Theo about it. He didn't even care enough to tell Theo, little lone asking him. I think Theo's autism makes is harder for Theo to separate the then and now. And how much JJ cared before, to not even caring at all how Theo feels about it... of course I think that moment changed JJ's and Theo's life forever, and that JJ does care, but lacked consideration of how Theo would feel about his returning to the police job. Actually I feel strongly that Theo is right anyways about this, even if it wouldn't have effected a "normal" person as much, but I get it.... and I think JJ does to. I hope JJ goes to Theo and apologize for being so inconsiderate and not even realizing how much it would hurt Theo. They just need to talk it out and clear the air, and who knows, maybe Theo will be the one encouraging JJ to return to his police job in the end, but in the end, it will be JJ's decision what job he choses, but I just think he should talk it over with Theo first and respect how Theo feels about it.
